The Floral Enthusiasts Botanical Society of Institute of Science Nagpur, for the Session 2023 24 was inaugurated on 25th August 2024 atthehand of Dr.TusharWankhede,Head,Department of Botany, J.D.Patil Sangludkar Mahavidyalaya,Daryapur withalectureon “Synergy of Bryophytes”.Dr.H.R.Pohekar, Head, Department of Botany has introduced the Chief Guest to the student. The Program was presided by Dr JairamKhobragade,Director Institute of Science Nagpur.Botanical society for 2023-24 was constituted, which includes Ms.Achal Bagade asVice President, Ms. Sakshi Shrikhande as Secretary, Ms. Kirti Kulmeti as Joint Secretary,Ms.Bharti Fatingas Treasurer, Ms.Roshni Mishraas Jointtreasure,Touror ganiser Mr.YashKarokar and Joint Tour organiser as Mr. Prajwal Vairagade.Many dignitaries have attended the lecture like Dr. S. U. Borkar,Dr.K.R.Gopal,Dr.S.S.Bodkhe,Dr.N.B.Yemul,Dr.U.N.Thakur,Mr.S.J.Borkar and Other staff members.Teacher’s day celebrations were organised by the PG students andAll faculty members have guided the students with their experiences of life. One day seminar was organised by Botany department in collaboration with CCPC of Institute of Science on theme ‘Career opportunities in Forestry’on 16th Sep.2023. Dr Bharat Singh Hada, IFS and Sh. Narendra Chandewar, DFO were the Guest speaker for the seminar. Plantation Drive was organised on 24thJan 2024 by Botany department in collaboration with NEERI and Vidhnyan Bharti Vidarbha Pradesh Mandal.Dr.Kiritimala Gopal have taken the initiative of Medicinal Garden development and function is presided by Dr Jairam Khobragade, Director Institute of Science Nagpur.
